Let me introduce myself
Hello there! I am Madison: a self-published writer based in the pretty valleys of England's Cotswolds.
I escape into other worlds as much as I possibly can: in books, games, and in my own head. In fact, much of my writing is powered by the need for stories that I want to see on my own shelf.
I love original twists, deeply unusual settings, and mind-blowing genre blends - anything that steps outside the comfort zone and breathes new life into a story. If the idea surprises me, I read it. If the idea is in my own head, I write it with as much moxie as I can!
Otherwise I am a cat-mother, teacher, crafter of forgotten things, and decidedly medium roller derby player!

Absolutely no generative AI here - human-made creativity is my motto, and the hill I will happily die on. I value the hard work, graft, and learning I have been lucky enough to go through over the years, and so I don't see any point in it for myself. I also oppose its use to destroy the creative works and careers of other artists, to harm our environment, and to enrich the few at the expense of the many. As such, I do not work with editors or illustrators who use AI in their work.
